During my recent trip NYC I had the glorious opportunity to stop by the J Crew’s Liquor Store. It’s in Tribeca, they converted an old bar but kept the facade. The old wooden bar is now a cash wrap and the bar fixtures have been converted: a wooden china cabinet with hanging suits, old bar stools displaying and pub chairs with a stack of folder sweaters. I walked in and thought I could live there.
Before this visit, I never thought too much about J Crew. It’s not that I didn’t like them, just never bothered to go in before. Since I walked through the door, I can’t seem to get enough. Like this men’s dress shirt, which I actually share with my boyfriend. We bought it in NYC on the last day of our trip, having already spent too much money we decided we didn’t need two of the same shirt. I love the green colour and the fabric has a beautiful sheen. Generally I go up a size for my men’s shirts, but my boyfriend insisted on the smaller size. Europeans, amiright?
